Eight days remain until the first big GPT-4o API cutoff. OpenAI’s deprecations page still lists gpt-4o-2024-05-13 for shutdown on October 23, 2026. On October 14, 2026, OpenAI also notified developers that later GPT-4o snapshots leave the API on January 14, 2027. Read the table carefully: not every GPT-4o snapshot dies on October 23. The May 2024 snapshot is in the Oct 23 wave. The August and November 2024 GPT-4o snapshots, plus GPT-4o mini, are in the January 14, 2027 wave announced October 14, 2026.
