Mirelo AI’s SFX 2.0 adds synced sound effects, foley and ambience to any video while keeping the dialogue. See Mirelo pricing, the free plan and API costs.
If you make AI videos, you know the problem: the clip looks great, but the model baked in music you didn’t ask for, or the sound effects don’t match what’s on screen. Mirelo SFX 2.0, launched on October 14, 2026, is built to fix exactly that. This page explains what Mirelo AI does, how SFX 2.0 works, whether you can use it for free and what it costs in Mirelo Studio and through the API, with prices checked on October 19, 2026.
What is Mirelo AI?
Mirelo AI (Mirelo AI GmbH) is a startup that makes AI audio models for video. Its main product is Mirelo SFX, a video-to-sound model: instead of writing a prompt and hoping the sound lines up, you upload the video and the model watches it, then generates sound effects, foley and ambience that land where the action does. Mirelo also offers a music model, an Audio-to-MIDI Pro tool and voice isolation, all paid with the same credits.
You can use Mirelo in several places: the web-based Mirelo Studio (Editor and Playground), the Mirelo API and MCP server, plugins for Adobe Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve Studio, and partner platforms Runway and fal.
What’s new in Mirelo SFX 2.0
According to Mirelo’s SFX 2.0 announcement, you upload a video and SFX 2.0 will:
- Detect and keep the dialogue, so you don’t lose a take you like.
- Remove the other audio, such as unwanted background music a video model added.
- Generate new sound effects, foley and ambience synced to the action and mixed around the speech (it handles ducking for you).
- Stay consistent across cuts, so several shots of the same place sound like one scene.
- Handle a full edit in one pass, up to 10 minutes in Mirelo Studio and the API. Longer videos are available on the Enterprise tier on request.
SFX 2.0 comes in three variants: video-to-sound (the default, one synced soundtrack), text-to-sound (for ambience or off-screen sounds you sync yourself) and stem, which makes one synced sound at a time and is listed as coming soon.
Mirelo also published blind listening tests. Raters preferred SFX 2.0 over Sony’s Woosh model 81% of the time, and rated it as good as or better than Seedance 2.5’s own audio in 72% of cases. These are Mirelo’s tests (25 raters, 30 videos per comparison), so use them as a guide rather than proof.

Is Mirelo AI free?
Yes, there’s a free plan. It includes 5,000 credits a month, which Mirelo estimates is about 8 minutes of SFX 2.0 audio. The limits: 3 projects, projects are deleted after one week, and exports carry a watermark. That’s enough to test SFX 2.0 on a few clips, but you’ll want a paid plan for client work or anything you publish.
Mirelo SFX Pricing (2026)
Mirelo Studio uses monthly credit plans billed in euros through Stripe. Here’s the Mirelo pricing page as of October 19, 2026:
| Plan | Price | Credits a month | About this much SFX 2.0 | Extra credits |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | 0 EUR | 5,000 | 8 minutes | 1.20 EUR per 1,000 |
| Creator | 20 EUR/month | 24,000 | 40 minutes | 0.90 EUR per 1,000 |
| Studio | 99 EUR/month | 120,000 | 200 minutes | 0.90 EUR per 1,000 |
| Scale | 299 EUR/month | 420,000 | 700 minutes | 0.80 EUR per 1,000 |
| Business | 999 EUR/month | 1,440,000 | 2,400 minutes | 0.75 EUR per 1,000 |
| Enterprise | Custom | Custom | Custom | Volume pricing, API access and dedicated support |

How many credits does SFX 2.0 use?
Mirelo’s usage rates put SFX 2.0 at 10 credits per second of generated audio, per variant, until December 12, 2026. After that it goes back to 15 credits per second, so the minute estimates above will shrink by a third. On the API, keeping the original speech (Preserve Speech) adds 8 credits per second when speech is detected. Generating several variants multiplies the cost.
Our math: on Creator, 24,000 credits for 20 EUR is about 0.083 EUR per 100 credits, so a 60-second clip (600 credits during the promo) costs roughly 0.50 EUR. After December 12 the same clip uses 900 credits, about 0.75 EUR.
Mirelo SFX 2.0 API pricing on fal
Developers can also call SFX 2.0 on fal without a Mirelo plan. fal’s model page lists $0.010 per second of output from October 14 to December 13, 2026, rising to $0.015 per second from December 14. Billing is per second and per sample, so two 10-second samples cost $0.20 during the promo and $0.30 after it. Runway and other partners set their own prices.

How to use Mirelo SFX 2.0
- Sign up free at mirelo.ai and open Studio.
- Upload your finished video, ideally after you’ve cut and stitched your clips, since SFX 2.0 keeps sound consistent across cuts.
- Choose video-to-sound and decide whether to keep the dialogue. Add a short text prompt if you want to guide the result.
- Generate and compare variants, then add music or extra sounds on top.
- Export, or do it all inside Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve Studio with Mirelo’s plugins.
It pairs well with AI video models that add their own audio. If you generate clips with Seedance or Kling 4.0, you can keep the visuals and replace only the sound, instead of paying to regenerate the whole clip.
Who Mirelo SFX is for
- AI filmmakers and creators who stitch clips together and need consistent sound.
- Video editors who want synced foley inside Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve.
- Developers of video apps and agents who need clean audio without baked-in music, via the API or fal.
- Not for voiceovers: Mirelo makes sound effects and ambience, not narration. For voices, look at a tool like ElevenLabs.
Verdict
Mirelo SFX 2.0 solves a real, annoying problem in AI video: bad or unwanted audio you can’t fix without regenerating the clip. Keeping the dialogue while rebuilding everything else is the standout feature, and 10-minute support means you can score a finished edit in one pass. The free plan is enough to test it, Creator at 20 EUR a month covers most solo creators, and the current SFX 2.0 discount makes this a good time to try it.
