NightCafe is a free AI art generator and community. You get free daily credits and unlimited base Stable Diffusion images; PRO starts at $12.49 a month.
NightCafe Studio is one of the older AI art sites, and it mixes an image generator with a social community: daily challenges, likes, badges and public galleries. It now offers dozens of models, including Nano Banana Pro, GPT Image, Seedream and Flux, plus AI video for animating your images. We checked the NightCafe pricing page and the homepage on October 26, 2026.
Is NightCafe free?
Yes. NightCafe says you can create unlimited base Stable Diffusion images for free. On top of that, every user gets 5 free credits each day they log in or use the app, and can earn 3 more by entering and voting in the daily challenge. Credits pay for the stronger models and settings.
NightCafe also says you own your creations and can use them commercially, even on the free plan, as long as you have the rights to any reference images you upload. The free plan’s real limit is model choice: PRO-only models such as Nano Banana Pro need a subscription.

Each PRO plan also unlocks unlimited base generations on a set of models, which grows with the tier: Flux 2 Klein and Z-Image Turbo on Hobbyist, up to Seedream 4 and Flux 2 Pro on AI Artist. Unused fast credits roll over and don’t expire.
If you don’t want a subscription, credit packs start at $7.99 for 100 credits with 3 days of PRO status, and 1,000 credits cost $37.99 with a month of PRO. For regular use the subscription is cheaper per credit: $0.037 on Hobbyist against $0.08 in the smallest pack.
