Strawberry Browser is an AI browser for Mac and Windows with companions that do work in your tabs. Free gets 500 credits a month; Intern is $20 a month.

Strawberry pitches itself as “AI teammates that work alongside you.” It’s a full desktop browser, so it can see the pages you’re logged into, and its AI companions can click, type and research across them while you do something else. Version 1.0 shipped on October 26, 2026. We checked the Strawberry homepage, the pricing page and the release notes on October 29, 2026.

What Strawberry Browser does

Most AI assistants live in a chat window and reach your apps through connectors. Strawberry flips that: the browser is the workspace, so a companion can use any website you can. Here’s what that looks like in practice:

  • Companions you hire: ready-made teammates such as Sales Sally (lead lists and outreach), Talent Theo (candidate sourcing), Executive Ellis (morning briefs and email drafts), Marketing Martin and Consulting Cora, or one you build around your own process.
  • Works in your tabs: a companion can research companies on LinkedIn and fill a Google Sheet, update a CRM or pull data into a spreadsheet, and you can take over at any point.
  • Routines: schedule recurring tasks or trigger them from events, such as a new email or the end of a meeting.
  • Meeting notes without a bot: it transcribes calls in any video tool, summarizes them and suggests follow-ups.
  • Visual artifacts: slide decks, posters, infographics and dashboards built from web sources, even behind logins.
  • Memory: it remembers people, projects and preferences across chats.

Is Strawberry Browser free?

Yes. The desktop app is free to install on macOS and Windows, and the Free plan includes 500 credits a month with no credit card. Regular browsing never uses credits; they’re only spent when a companion chats with you or takes actions. Teams also get 3 free seats, the owner’s included.

Paid plans add priority access at peak hours and let you use your ChatGPT plan to save credits. Annual billing gives 2 months free. Plan credits reset monthly and don’t roll over, but top-ups cost $0.01 per credit ($10 per 1,000) and do roll over. Strawberry doesn’t publish how many credits a typical task uses, so start on Free and watch the meter in your account settings before you upgrade.

Privacy and control

Strawberry says passwords, history and cookies stay on your device, passwords are never exposed to it or to model providers, and it doesn’t sell your data or train on your content. You choose, per app and per action, what a companion may do without asking. It also states it meets SOC 2 requirements and GDPR.

Who Strawberry Browser is for

It suits founders, recruiters, sales and marketing people whose work is mostly repetitive browser tasks. If you want an agent that controls the whole desktop rather than one browser, compare it with Simular AI. If you only want ChatGPT inside Chrome, see our guide to the ChatGPT Chrome extension. Limitations

  • Credits are hard to predict: 500 free credits can go quickly on research-heavy tasks.
  • Desktop only: it’s available for macOS and Windows, with no Linux build listed.
  • Agents can make mistakes: keep approvals on for anything that sends email or changes records.
  • Switching browsers: you’ll need to import bookmarks, passwords and extensions, though Strawberry offers to move them for you.

TechPilot.ai’s Verdict on Strawberry Browser

Strawberry is one of the most practical AI browsers so far, because its companions work in the same tabs you do instead of through a chat window.

Try it free on one repetitive job, such as building a lead list, and only pay for Intern once you know how many credits that job uses.
