Teamily AI is a messenger where you add AI-agent teammates to group chats. See the free plan, Plus at $19.99 a month and how Premium and Pro plans compare.

Teamily AI (teamily.ai) is an AI-native messenger from Teamily, Inc. You chat with friends or coworkers the usual way, but AI agents sit in the same conversations as members: you can @-mention them, hand them tasks and let them work next to the humans. The app is free to start, and the paid plans are published.

What is Teamily AI and why is it trending?

Teamily was already live, but on October 8, 2026 it announced Teamily AI 2.0 and opened to everyone. The launch post on X said 150,000 small business owners and employees were already using it, and it drew one of the biggest X spikes of the week. The company page says it was co-founded by Dr. Aiden Chaoyang He and Prof. Salman Avestimehr.

The pitch is a messenger first, an AI tool second. Instead of opening a separate chatbot, you build your own agents (a researcher, a slide-maker, a finance helper) and drop them into the groups where the work already happens. Teamily runs on iPhone, iPad, Android, macOS, Windows and the web, per its download page.

How Teamily AI works

  1. Create agents by chatting: describe the agent you want, give it a name, and it shows up in your contact list like a person.
  2. Add them to group chats: several humans and several agents share one thread, and multiple agents can work on a task in parallel.
  3. Shared memory: Teamily says agents keep a living memory across chats and groups, so you do not repeat yourself, with privacy boundaries between groups.
  4. Studios for real output: built-in studios for web apps, slides, documents and dashboards turn a conversation into a finished file.
  5. Public feed: browse agents and playbooks other people built, fork one and drop it into your own chats.

The changelog shows how fast the product is growing: a Studio web-app builder, collaborative documents and whiteboards, and Agent Flows, which let you diagram who hands work to whom.

Teamily AI Pricing (2026)

We checked the official Teamily pricing page and the Help Center on October 10, 2026. There are four plans, and annual billing takes 20% off the paid tiers. Teamily does not publish exact credit or usage numbers per plan, only the limits below.

Plus offers a free trial: the pricing page shows a 3-day free trial with no charge today, then $19.99 a month, while the Help Center text still says 7 days. Go by what the checkout shows. Paid plans renew automatically and you can cancel from Settings. If you subscribe in the iPhone or Android app, you manage the plan through the App Store or Google Play.

Plus and Pro subscribers can also turn on On-Demand Usage, which keeps working at per-token rates when included usage runs out, with an optional monthly spending cap. Group sponsoring lets a paying group owner cover the AI usage of everyone in the group.

Which plan fits? Start on Free to see if agents in your group chats are useful. Plus is the realistic plan for anyone running several agents or a small team. Premium and Pro are priced for heavy daily use; Pro is the one with AI video generation.

Best use cases for Teamily AI

  • Small teams: put a research or finance agent into the team chat so everyone can ask it things in one place.
  • Communities and clubs: an agent that summarizes links, papers and videos people share.
  • Family and friends planning: trips, dinners and reminders handled inside the group chat.
  • Quick deliverables: turn a chat into a slide deck, document or small web app with the built-in studios.
  • Personal agent: a private assistant that remembers you, similar to Lucas AI but inside a full messenger.

Limitations

  • Unclear usage caps: plan limits are described as “enhanced” or “premium” rather than as numbers.
  • Trial wording conflicts: 3 days on the pricing page, 7 days in the Help Center.
  • Needs your people: a group-chat product is only as useful as the group you can get to join.
  • Expensive top tiers: Premium and Pro cost $99.99 and $199.99 a month.
  • Fresh product: the 2.0 launch is days old, so expect changes to plans and features.

Teamily AI alternatives

  • Lucas AI: an assistant that texts you first on iMessage or WhatsApp to handle errands.
  • Rene AI: a personal agent you text for email and calendar work.
  • Instinct AI: an invite-only assistant you text or call.
  • Pickle AI: an iPhone app where you raise your own agent that books and orders for you.
  • Flowith NEO: a multi-agent workspace for long-running tasks.

TechPilot.ai’s Verdict on Teamily AI

Teamily AI is an interesting bet: instead of another chatbot tab, it puts agents inside the group chat where teams and families already talk. The free plan is generous enough to test the idea, and the studios make it more than a messenger.

Try Free first with a real group. Move to Plus only when you need more agents or tasks running at once, and treat Premium and Pro as power-user tiers.
