Coral family agent puts an AI in your iMessage family chat to share locations, calendars, to-dos, cards and logins. See Coral pricing, features and limits.

Launched on October 11, 2026 by co-founders Aaryan Kushwah and Savio Martin, Coral calls itself the first AI family agent. Instead of one assistant for one person, it puts an agent in your family group chat and gives every family member a private agent of their own, so nobody has to be the one who keeps track of pickups, groceries and appointments.

What is Coral, the family agent?

Coral lives in iMessage. According to messagecoral.com, it connects everyone’s location, calendars, tasks and personal agents in one thread. You add Coral to the family group chat, where anyone can @Coral to start a group order, assign a chore, set a reminder for everyone or keep score. Each person can also message Coral privately, and that chat stays private unless they choose to share.

The agents talk to each other. Your Coral can ask another family member’s Coral about anything they share, such as their calendar or location, and sort out plans directly. The examples on Coral’s site are telling: one parent’s Coral moves a pickup to 5:15, another approves a pair of football cleats, Grandma’s Coral books an eye exam and a teenager’s Coral adds eggs to the family list.

What Coral can do

  • Know where your family is: see where everyone is and who’s almost home.
  • Shared logins: share accounts such as DoorDash, Instacart and Uber securely.
  • Shared cards and payments: share a card with the family, and each person’s agent can pay with it within the limits you set.
  • To-dos and scheduled actions: assign tasks and schedule reminders for anyone.
  • Group orders: collect everyone’s order and check out once.
  • Budgets and allowances: set allowances and spending limits for each person.
  • Roles and permissions: parents decide which purchases need approval and what each person can see, share and do.
  • A family computer: one computer with your family’s accounts and context.

Coral family agent pricing: $20 a month, unlimited use, one plan for the whole family on iMessage

For a family of four, $20 a month works out to $5 per person, which is cheaper than giving each person a separate paid AI assistant. The catch is that Coral is built around iMessage, so it suits families where everyone uses an iPhone.

Is Coral free? Coral’s site lists no free plan or free trial, only the $20 monthly plan.

Who Coral is for

  • Busy parents who coordinate school pickups, activities and groceries in a family chat already.
  • Families with teenagers who want allowances and spending limits with parental approval.
  • Adult children helping parents with reminders, appointments and shared accounts.
  • Households that share delivery apps and want one group order instead of five.

Privacy and safety

Coral handles locations, cards and logins, which is a lot of trust to give a startup that launched this month. Its answers are reassuring on paper: private chats stay private, the family only sees what each person shares, and parents control roles, approvals and spending limits. But Coral’s site doesn’t yet explain how logins and card details are stored. Start with low-risk tasks and read our guide on whether AI agents are safe before you share payment cards.

Limitations

  • iMessage only: Coral is built for iPhone and iMessage group chats.
  • No free option: there’s no free plan or trial listed.
  • Brand-new product: launched October 11, 2026, with little track record.
  • Sensitive access: it needs locations, cards and logins to be most useful.
  • Name confusion: it’s unrelated to other AI products called Coral.

Coral alternatives

  • Rene: a personal agent you text in iMessage, WhatsApp or Telegram for email and calendars.
  • Meta Muse: Meta’s personal agent, free to start, available in WhatsApp.
  • OpenAI Dots: always-on ChatGPT agents that work in the background.
  • Teamily AI: a messenger that adds AI-agent teammates to group chats.

TechPilot.ai’s Verdict on Coral

Coral is the first agent we’ve seen built for a whole family rather than one person, and the flat $20 for unlimited members is fair if your family already lives in an iMessage group chat.

It is brand new and asks for sensitive access, so start with reminders, lists and group orders, and add shared cards only once you trust how it behaves.
