Lucas AI (meetlucas.ai) is an assistant you text in iMessage or WhatsApp to handle errands. See the Free, Pro $20 and Max $100 plans and the 7-day trial.

Clarification first: this page covers Lucas from meetlucas.ai, the texting assistant made by Lucas Intelligence, Inc. It is not lucashealth.ai and not Idomoo’s Lucas video agent, which share the name in search results.

What is Lucas AI and why is it new?

Lucas is a personal AI assistant that lives in your messages. You text it a task, such as a reservation, a refund, an appointment or an invoice nobody has chased, and it works on it, asking before it acts. Its own pitch: “Not everything deserves your attention.”

Lucas got a wave of attention at the end of September 2026, when its launch video on X passed a million views. The product had already been shipping: its changelog shows Vault, an encrypted store for logins, cards and ID documents, on September 15, 2026.

How Lucas works

  1. Text it: tap Text Lucas, verify your mobile number, and keep going in iMessage or WhatsApp. No name or email needed to start.
  2. Connect apps: Gmail or Outlook for email and calendar, plus productivity, developer, health, design, finance and workflow tools.
  3. It asks first: Lucas drafts and previews, and does not send, post or book anything irreversible without your OK.
  4. It can text you first: reminders, briefings and automation updates arrive in the same thread.
  5. Vault for errands: saved logins and cards are filled in by the browser, so the AI never sees your passwords or card numbers.

Lucas Pricing (2026)

Lucas does not have a separate pricing page, but it does publish its plans in the official FAQ. We checked it on October 10, 2026.

PlanMonthlyYearlyNotes
Free$0$0Usage limits apply from day one
Lucas Pro$20 / month$192 / yearPaid capabilities, higher limits
Lucas Max$100 / month$960 / yearTop tier for heavy use

New users start with a seven-day reverse trial: you get the paid features first, then drop to Free unless you subscribe. Lucas does not list exact usage caps per plan; it only tells you about a limit when one blocks a request.

Is it worth paying? Use the trial week to throw real errands at it. If Lucas keeps clearing admin you would otherwise put off, Pro at $192 a year works out to $16 a month. Max is for people running a lot of automations.

Best use cases for Lucas

  • Money leaks: forgotten renewals, unused subscriptions and refunds that never arrived.
  • Bookings: restaurant reservations, appointments and trips.
  • Inbox triage: search, summarize and draft email replies in Gmail or Outlook.
  • Back-office chores: invoices, follow-ups and RSVPs for freelancers and founders.
  • Proactive nudges: reminders and briefings by text. Read our AI agents safety guide before connecting finance apps.

Limitations

  • No hard usage numbers: limits exist on every plan but are not published.
  • Messaging only: it works in iMessage and WhatsApp; it does not control every native phone app.
  • Needs access to be useful: the more accounts you connect, the more you need to trust it.
  • Email support is limited: Gmail and Outlook today; general IMAP may come later.
  • Name confusion: searches for “Lucas AI” also return lucashealth.ai and Idomoo’s Lucas.

Lucas alternatives

  • Instinct AI: invite-only assistant you text or call for errands.
  • Hark Pro: privacy-first assistant with a free tier and $20 / $100 plans.
  • Rene: a multiplayer agent inside iMessage and WhatsApp.
  • Pickle AI: a social iPhone agent that books and pays with approval.
  • Hello Haven: a free beta assistant by call, text and email.

TechPilot.ai’s Verdict on Lucas

Lucas gets the hard part right: it lives where you already text, it asks before acting, and Vault keeps passwords away from the model. Its prices are also public, which many new agents still skip.

The weak spot is the lack of published usage caps. Use the seven-day reverse trial on real errands, then decide between Free and Pro.
