Vivago is a cheap way into many top video and image models at once, and the new R1 agent makes it more than a template app. The yearly Plus plan is the sensible choice for creators who need commercial rights.

Vivago AI is HiDream’s AI image and video platform, now with the R1 video agent. See the free credits, plans from $7.9 a month and what each tier unlocks.
Vivago (vivago.ai) is built by HiDream.ai, a Beijing generative AI company, and it is not new: the Android app alone has over 50 million downloads. What changed on October 7, 2026 is vivago R1, a chat-first video agent that HiDream made available worldwide. This page covers both the classic image and video toolkit and the new agent, plus what you actually pay.
What is Vivago AI?
Vivago started as a one-stop generator: text to image, image to video, viral effect templates, photo restoration and editing tools such as Magic Eraser, background removal and expand. On top of HiDream’s own models it bundles third-party video and image models (the plan page lists Veo, Sora, Kling, Nano Banana Pro and Seedream), so one subscription covers several engines.
That puts it in the same group as aggregator platforms like Higgsfield: you are paying for convenience and templates more than for one unique model. The difference is that HiDream also trains its own models, and R1 is its attempt to move from single clips to finished videos.
vivago R1: the new video agent
vivago R1 opens as a chat box that asks what story you want to tell. Behind it, HiDream says a lead agent turns your brief into a production plan and hands work to specialist agents for script, storyboard, characters, locations and audio. You can upload images, video or documents as references and revise any step by asking, for example rewriting one scene without starting over.
- Longer videos: HiDream says R1 can make videos of up to five minutes in one workflow, and extend a project in more rounds.
- Consistency: saved assets keep characters, places, props and voices the same across shots and across episodes.
- SkillHub: ready-made workflows such as a Cinematic Story Director, Knowledge Explainer, product ads and storyboards.
- CLI for developers: scripts and other AI agents can start video jobs and manage assets from the command line.
- Old version still there: a Back to Old Version button returns you to the classic generator.
Our take: the five-minute figure is the vendor’s ceiling, not a typical result. Agent video tools are best at short ads and explainers today. Expect to steer the storyboard closely if you want a coherent multi-minute story.
HiDream-O1-Video-1.0: where it ranks now
HiDream says its HiDream-O1-Video-1.0 model, which makes 1080p video with synced audio, will be added to R1 in an upcoming update. At launch HiDream reported a No. 4 spot on Artificial Analysis’s image-to-video leaderboard with audio. When we checked the live leaderboard on October 12, 2026, it was No. 6 with an Elo of 1175, inside a 2 to 6 range that it shares with MiniMax H3, Vidu Q4 Preview, Gemini Omni Flash and Seedance 2.0. In plain terms it is in the top tier, statistically tied with the models just above it, behind MiniMax H3 Max.
Vivago AI Pricing (2026)
New accounts get 30 free credits on sign-up, and the free plan adds daily credits you can earn by watching ads. Paid plans come in three tiers. We checked the official plan page on October 12, 2026; the yearly prices are shown as 39% to 50% off the list prices.
| Plan | Monthly billing | Yearly billing | Credits a month | Key limits |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | $0 | 30 on sign-up, plus ad and daily credits | Watermark, 5-second videos, 1 job at a time, no commercial use |
| Basic | $9.9/mo | $7.9/mo ($94.8 a year) | 1,000 (about 100 standard videos or 1,000 images) | No watermark or ads, 8-second videos, 2 jobs, personal use only |
| Plus | $29.9/mo | $19.9/mo ($238.8 a year) | 3,800 | 12-second videos, lip sync, 4 jobs, HiDreamClaw agent, commercial rights |
| Pro | $69.9/mo | $59.9/mo ($718.8 a year) | 12,000 | AI Chat Agent, 2D to 3D, 8 jobs, priority and beta models, commercial rights |
Two things to watch. First, the Basic plan has no commercial licence, so anything for clients or paid ads needs Plus or Pro. Second, the app shows rotating upgrade discounts, so the checkout price can differ from the list above; check it before you pay.
Is Vivago AI free? Yes, with limits. You can create with free and ad-earned credits, but videos are watermarked and capped at 5 seconds.
Vivago on Google Play
The vivago.ai Android app (publisher Sparking Innovations Limited) had a 4.2-star rating from about 190,000 reviews, 50 million-plus downloads and an update dated September 24, 2026 when we checked. It focuses on effects, image to video and photo restoration, and it contains ads and in-app purchases. Some recent reviews complain that features which used ad credits now need a subscription, so read the current terms in the app.
Limitations
- Commercial use costs more: Basic is personal use only.
- Short clips on cheaper tiers: 5 seconds free, 8 seconds on Basic.
- Agent claims are new: R1 launched globally on October 7, 2026, and its new video model is not integrated yet.
- Pricing moves: in-app promotions change what you pay at checkout.
Vivago AI alternatives
- Higgsfield AI: a multi-model AI video and image platform with strong camera-motion presets.
- Kling 4: Kuaishou’s next video model, if you want one engine rather than an aggregator.
- Voyager: a creative agent that drives editing apps on your desktop.
TechPilot.ai’s Verdict on Vivago AI
Vivago is a cheap way into many top video and image models at once, and the new R1 agent makes it more than a template app. The yearly Plus plan is the sensible choice for creators who need commercial rights.
Treat R1’s long-video promise as a work in progress: test it on short ads and explainers first, and check the checkout price, which changes with promotions.
