Wabi 2.0 is an AI messenger from Replika founder Eugenia Kuyda that builds mini-apps and gets tasks done. See if Wabi is free, how invites work and more.

Instead of one endless chat, Wabi organizes your life into threads, such as a group trip, bills or the kids’ school, and builds small apps inside each one. You can bring friends and family into a chat, and Wabi works on tasks like booking appointments or chasing a refund.

What is Wabi 2.0 and why is it new?

Wabi started as an app for making and sharing AI mini-apps. On September 28, 2026, it relaunched as Wabi 2.0, “a new kind of messenger that makes apps and gets things done for you and your friends,” and TechCrunch covered the pivot on September 29, 2026. Founder Eugenia Kuyda, who previously founded the AI companion Replika, called it a “personal agent that does stuff for you and builds the interface you need in the moment.”

Wabi, Inc. raised a $20 million pre-seed round led by Andreessen Horowitz in 2025, according to RuntimeWire (September 29, 2026). The idea is to combine the chat of a personal AI agent with tap-and-scroll software that appears when you need it.

How Wabi works

  1. Get access: download Wabi for iPhone and join the waitlist, or use an invite code. Wabi has been sharing codes on X.
  2. Start a chat about something in your life, such as a dinner plan, a group pet or a book club.
  3. Ask for what you want: book an appointment, handle a return, track a refund or plan a trip.
  4. Use the apps it builds: trackers, plans and games appear right in the conversation.
  5. Bring people in: add your partner, family or friends so everyone sees and moves the same plan forward.

Wabi Pricing (2026)

Wabi hasn’t published a pricing page. We checked wabi.ai and the Wabi App Store listing on October 7, 2026.

Checked on wabi.ai and apps.apple.com, October 7, 2026.

Earlier versions of the app sold a Wabi Max subscription and credit packs, which RuntimeWire reported at $20 a month for Max. The current US App Store listing doesn’t show in-app purchases, so we couldn’t confirm any paid plan today. We’ll update this section when Wabi publishes prices.

Is it worth trying? Yes, if you’re on iPhone and can get an invite. It costs nothing to download, and group planning is where it stands out.

Best use cases for Wabi

  • Group trips: plan the itinerary, budget and bookings with everyone in one chat.
  • Household admin: bills, subscriptions, returns and refunds.
  • Family logistics: kids’ activities, school and a shared calendar.
  • Health tracking: calorie, workout or weight trackers built on request.
  • Fun with friends: games, book clubs and dinner plans.

Limitations

  • Invite only: you need a code or a spot off the waitlist.
  • iPhone only: there’s no Android app yet, and the listing needs iOS 26 or later.
  • No published pricing: paid plans and limits aren’t public.
  • Version confusion: the announcement says Wabi 2.0, while the App Store calls the same release Wabi 3.0.
  • Early product: the messenger only relaunched on September 28, 2026.

Wabi alternatives

  • Anything: builds mobile and web apps from a prompt.
  • Base44: an AI app builder with a database and hosting built in.
  • Wajo Fo: an action agent that completes tasks, with a free Fo Mini plan.
  • Lindy Build: build AI agents and automations without code.

TechPilot.ai’s Verdict on Wabi

Wabi 2.0 is one of the more original takes on personal agents: instead of one long chat, it gives each part of your life its own thread, builds small apps on the fly and lets friends join in.

It’s invite-only, iPhone-only and has no public pricing yet, so it’s an experiment for now. If you get a code, try it for a group trip or family logistics, where its multiplayer design matters most.
