Comfy Agent builds ComfyUI workflows from a chat inside Comfy Cloud. See free starter chats, Comfy Credits, plus Standard, Creator and Pro Cloud pricing.
Chatbots only paste node recipes. Comfy Agent plans, builds and runs ComfyUI workflows on the canvas with you, leaving every node editable.
What is Comfy Agent and why is it new?
Unlike a generic chatbot that only pastes node recipes, Comfy Agent edits the graph in real time, sees your assets, recommends models and asks before generations by default. It runs on Comfy Cloud today, with local ComfyUI support on the roadmap.
It is aimed at animation, VFX, product imagery and other production workflows where the output must stay a reusable graph, not a one-off file. Chat uses frontier Anthropic models plus Comfy-specific tools.
How Comfy Agent works
- Describe the job: ask for scenes, product shots or video ads in chat.
- Canvas collaboration: the agent adds and edits nodes while you keep working.
- Runs with permission: generations need your OK unless you enable auto mode.
- Skills: save presets or use public skills; up to 5 parallel agent chats.
- Credits: agent tokens and GPU runs spend Comfy Credits from your Cloud plan.
Comfy Agent Pricing (2026)
Comfy Agent uses Comfy Credits. New users get free starter chat tokens; after that it draws the same credit pool as Cloud GPU time and Partner Nodes. We checked comfy.org/pricing on October 9, 2026.
| Plan | Price | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Free starter | $0 | 5 free GPU runs; free agent chat tokens to try |
| Cloud Standard | $20 / mo ($16 / mo yearly) | $192 billed yearly; 30 min max runtime |
| Cloud Creator | $35 / mo ($28 / mo yearly) | $336 billed yearly; import own models |
| Cloud Pro | $100 / mo ($80 / mo yearly) | $960 billed yearly; up to 1 hr runtime |
| Cloud Team | From $700 / mo ($630 yearly) | Shared credits, up to 50 members |
Plan credits refill each cycle and do not roll over; purchased top-ups last up to a year. Partner Nodes (for example Nano Banana Pro) spend the same credits. Comfy Desktop itself stays free for local graphs.
Is it worth it? Use the free starter chats first. Standard is enough for light Cloud work; Creator if you need custom models; Pro for longer jobs.
Best use cases for Comfy Agent
- Product campaigns: brief to scene to video ad on one canvas.
- Animation exploration: iterate looks and compare generations with history.
- VFX passes: masks, depth and normals in a single graph.
- Learning ComfyUI: let the agent build while you watch, then reuse the workflow like Recraft users reuse brand styles.
- Cloud GPU work: when you need hosted runs instead of only local cards, similar to other image model pipelines.
Limitations
- Cloud-first today: full local agent support is still coming.
- Credits complexity: GPU time and Partner Nodes share one balance.
- Custom nodes: Cloud supports a curated set; arbitrary local nodes wait for local agent.
- Runtime caps: 30 minutes on Standard/Creator, 1 hour on Pro.
- Learning curve: you still benefit from knowing ComfyUI graphs.
Comfy Agent alternatives
- Recraft: brand-consistent image generation without node graphs.
- FLUX 3: Black Forest Labs image models with API pricing.
- Kling 4: video generation when you need clips, not Comfy graphs.
- fal Recast: hosted model endpoints without maintaining a canvas.
